- Delivery service at "HIT & RUN" Auction Sales will charge you a fortune to deliver, and when they arrive at your home, the company will tell you they do not bring the item into your home. They will inform you of this after they have received your money in advance. Do not pay for any delivery until the items arrive at your home in the same condition you purchased them in. These delivery companies are usually the same company conducting the auction sale, under alias names and will demand CASH only payments. Do not sign anything they ask you to sign until the items are received in satisfactory condition delivered into your home.
- Do not give your credit card to any auction company demanding a credit card in advance on registration before you actually purchase an item. Reports from clients indicate these companies hold you and your card hostage at the end of the sale in the event there is a dispute or they simply add items to your invoices you did not purchase and demand payment. There is no reason you should give your credit card to any company unless you have made a purchase, especially at an auction sale where the companies do not have a privacy policy in place.
- Be sure to demand a GST number on your invoice with a company name and a receipt for any CASH purchases made. All companies are required to provide a GST number when collecting GST, you do not have to pay this tax if there is no number provided.
- Don't be fooled by "Auction Sales" that attract you under the banner of an "Auction Sale" and then try to upsell retail after the Auction Sale. These are furniture stores on wheels and not where you determine the price by auction. Bonifide Auctioneers do not sell retail after an auction.
- We have received several emails from valued clients with confusion on where sales are and who is conducting them. Apparently an unlicensed competing company has sent out emails stating that they are having a sale in other areas under similar banners, in fact they have duplicated our outdoor ad signs, registration forms, terms of sale and bid cards for the sales in an effort to confuse the client. It appears their emails have no "PRIVACY POLICY", which puts your information at risk, including your credit card information that they collect on registration. There is no association with this site unless the sale is posted here. We apologize for the confusion and our legal department will have this rectified very soon. If you continue to receive their emails, we would suggest that you report them as spammers. http://www.spamcop.net/
